Today was Laguna-tastic!  That is because I started my day off by finding out that the 2nd season of Laguna Beach premieres on Monday, July 25th at 10 o'clock on MTV!  I'm so stoked!  No matter what we are doing at 12-in-1, I am watching that show!  Great way to start off the day.  So then I had to go get my tetanus (sp?) shot, and I didn't even feel it.  As I was walking out of the doctor's office, I remembered I got a tetanus shot in 6th grade!  haha so the shot today was not necessary.  Chrissy and I stopped at McD's and I got a Big Mac Meal!  YES!  Went to work... that was OK... it's money.  Left at 5.  The pudro, the budro, and I tried to go out on the boat, but that was a bust because water got in the engine or something to that extent.  We came back home and decided to go to the driving range!  That was awesome... the best I got was about 200 yards.  Zack and I then played some Putt Putt P-I-G.  I was down P-I, and Zack had nothing, but I still one.  Came home, and Zack and I had a pickle/whipped cream fight!  It was awesome!!!  So that's pretty much it... I'm gonna go play some Ratchet and Clank on the PS2!

In His glorious name,

So last night I started to read Every Man's Battle.  It was so good.  I'm stoked about getting my thoughts pure and getting close with God again!  Lately I have been praying that God gives me that spark or that glow that makes me live for him because lately it's been the Jake Show.  Mexico is in six days, so I'm starting to prepare spiritually for it so it won't be just a spiritual high, but a life changing experience.  I did the pre-Mexico quiet time last night, and it hit me that I was only accepting part of God's Word.  I was totally down with how much God loves me (because my mindset was "Jake's great!  How could God not love me?"  So I was so arrogant about my own faith, which isn't real faith, and I realized I need to bring myself down and become more humble.  I wasn't understanding the part about loving God with all my mind, heart, and soul.  To do this we have to do J.O.Y.  Put Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself last.  I wasn't being meek and humble and surrendering to others.  I have heard that you have to be a servant of others to be a servant of Christ, but I was trying to just have my relationship with Jesus without it changing my other relationships, and that's just impossible.  Well it's impossible for it to be fruitful anyways.

That's what I'm thinking about right now.... hope you followed .... pray that my struggles have helped you

Sat.

Went out to Pharaoh's with Colleen and Kristi, always a good crowd.  We went to Stein Mart as well.  It was pretty chill.  Went to church, and it was a-mazing!  Craig went through some Proverbs about family and it was great!  Loves it!  LOL! last night me and the fam went to go see Mr. and Mrs. Smith.  Great movie.  I had to go to the bathroom about half way through the movie, so naturally I intend on getting up and trying to make as little noise as possible to get to the bathrrom as to not disturb the other movie patrons.  That was a bust.  I tripped over a 2 inch step and did my ever-famous "UUghhhh" sound.  If you aren't a Newbauer you won't understand, but ask me, and I will be glad to demonstrate.  I busted out laughing as did the whole theatre.  I went to the bathroom, and when I got back, the fam was still laughing hysterically.  It was awesome!  Came home and went to bed.

Sun.

Woke up at 7 for the U.S. Open.  Showered.  Attention: I wore my purple Polo, Croakies, Oakleys, fish belt, seer sucker Polo shorts, and Sperry's.  Man!  I put those golfers to shame.  We had a blast at the U.S. Open.  We watched a little golf, but it mostly consisted of getting food at the concessions, talking about the apparel of the golfers with the Nana, and making fun of the "quiet!" people.  Oh yeah, I had a muffled laugh when Michelson was on the 6th whole, so if you were watching it and you heard it, it was me!  Seeing Tiger was awesome!  It was so weird because I don't watch golf and he wasn't winning, but I was so pumped to see him.  Left a little early after we knew Tiger wouldn't win.  So on the car ride home, we talked about my 16th Birthday plans!  ahhh so much fun, but so much to think about.  Went to Lucky 32's for dinner.  It was great.  Came home, took a family photo, and the g-units left.  Now I'm xanga-ing (obviously).

luego ninos (there's supposed to be a trill over the second "n" FYI, BTW, and PS)

So I got paid today!  $438.75!!! w00t!

Brittany and I hit the town tonight.  We went to this concert thing up at Stonehenge Market.  Yeah, middle-aged rockers rock!  We went out to Wildflour for dinner.  Pineapple Pizza is my new fave!  Then, we went to Starbucks.  Tazo Chai Frappachinos suck (FYI).  So we got a venti one of those, and it tasted like egg nog and plants.  So we gave it to some mini-skaters in starbucks, I told them my herpes was clearing up!  hahaha the mini-skater's face was priceless.  We went to go back up and get a Strawberries 'n' Creme Frap.  That was amazing!  Plus the guy gave me a sweet discount  Then, we came back to my crib and watched Mean Girls!  I've converted another!

"Oh my gosh, Karen!  You can't just ask people why they're white!"
                   --Karen

Then, we dropped Brittany back off at her crib, and a deer ran across the road!  ahhh!

So now I'm xanga-ing!

Going to spend some time with God now!

Later kiddos

This weekend was pretty sweet!

Thursday tons of people went to the Six Strings Cafe in Cary.  She was amazing!

That night I had my devotion (yeah it was a long time), and this verse was perfect for what I was going through.

Psalm 119:176 - I have strayed like a lost sheep.  Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands.

It was just like "Whoa!" because I've strayed away from living fully for God.  I was distracted and not putting Him first.  I still haven't mastered it (and I never will), but I'm aware of it and it is the step in the right direction.  It is an amazing verse because it calls on God to come seek me and herd me back in.  It also talks about not forgetting His commands.  This verse just encompassed everything I was going through.  I still knew God's commands, but I needed (still need) to be herded back in.  God is indescribably amazing!

Colleen, Red-Dawg, Brad, Bradley, Wyatt, and I went go see Kicking and Screaming on Friday.

Lesbian: Ease up on him!
Will Ferrell: Ease up on that cordouroy (sp?) jacket!
I don't think I've ever last so hard.

Then, all of went to go see Katie Hemp at her work!  That was pretty fun.  She's an amazing bagger.

So then last night the family came over, and we had steak and baked potatoes!  I was in heaven.  I then went to Chris' 16th party.  It was fun.  Great times and great laughs.  Then I went over to Matt's, and Colleen was there (because I haven't seen her enough in the past few days or anything). haha.  We watched Best in Show.  Love that movie!  "You obviously don't know my dog!"  Colleen left.  Matt and I watched Elimi-date.  It was hilarious!

Today I went to my mom's church.  Other than that I played 1602 AD all day!  It's a really old computer game that is really loser-ish!

keep it kosher
